My Cousins

Aren't they pretty?? Yeah, they took this picture... and I'll ignore the fact that I was nowhere near them... umm, really, it's ok, (sniff). No, really, I'll be fine after my next therapy session. LOL... totally kidding (about the therapy) ;)! But no seriously... aren't they pretty?!? (It runs in the family... the 'prettiness' not the therapy).

Looking back at 2008...

2008 was a memorable year (as they all are)! As I sit here and write this entry I am thinking of all the things that I have to be thankful for... ranging from simple moments with Jayda to career desires that didn't come to light (thank God-- will elaborate in a bit).

I give thanks to/for:

• Jayda -- I love you baby! You are the light of my life, my world. Seeing your personality form is amazing... you are amazing. You are my "spirited" child and I love every minute of the time I share with you. I thank the Lord always for you.

• Michael -- Thank you for being a great husband and friend. We have our moments, but in the end we are there for each other always. Thank you for being my shoulder to cry on and the person to make me laugh when I need it the most. I love you always!

• Mom -- Thank you for showing me the meaning of strength. Thank you for being a friend and most importantly thank you for always being there, for everything. I love you more than ever!

• Dad-- Thank you for being my daddy. I thought I had you wrapped around my finger, but I think Jayda took over! I love you so much, thank you for all that you do for me and for Jayda.

And I thank dad and mom for your unconditional love.

I could go on and on giving thanks to specific family members... but I am Blessed with A LOT of them! LOL! Thank you Jesus!!

My year in review:

• This past year I stressed myself over and over going to interviews looking for a counseling job to no avail! It took all that to wake me up and realize that I have no need to "look" for a job when I already have a great job -- really I do. I am at a point where I am letting go of that unnecessary stress and enjoying where the Lord wants me to be! I know that where I am is exactly where I need to be -- thank you Mrs. Torres for bringing that to my attention! I am at a GOOD place ;)!

• Jayda started dance class and I LOVE watching her dance!

• Michael graduated with his teaching degree!

• We are going to Disney!!!

• I turned 30 and it's not too bad! LOL!

Life is good!!

Have I mentioned my AMAZING family?!? They truly are!

Thank you all for being part of my life.

May the Lord bring you continued Blessings in 2009!

Christmas Lights

I have always loved to look at Christmas lights. As far back as I can remember driving around to look at lights was exciting for me and now having Jayda I have someone to enjoy it with. This past Sunday my family and I went to Hidalgo to look at an awesome display that the city puts out every year- and every year it seems to get better...these pictures do not do it justice ;)!

Here are a few pictures of two different performances she was in this week. This past Monday was her Christmas Ballet program...I can tell you one thing... this girl LOVES to perform!







And I am making an effort to get my picture taken with my baby more often...



Now here she is at her school performance (as soon as we can figure out how to upload videos from the video camera, I will post the actual performance) but, for now, this is all I have ;)...

Christmas Time!

We went over to Jessica and Jaime's house to take some pictures of Jayda to hopefully use for our Christmas card this year. This is the best we got...

So, Jayda needed to take cupcakes to her Thanksgving party at school and I was already planning to just go to H.E.B to buy them... but not daddy... this is what he did...

It's official!

We are going back...

The princess guarding her castle (where we spent 99% of our time last trip)... yeah just standing around the castle LOL!

We are spending Spring Break at Disney World! Jayda is so excited and even more so because Landrie (her friend from Dallas) is also going, along with her parents Cory and Lindsey! We are literally counting down the days =)!!

Fall Pictures

Here are some Fall pictures of my baby...

Fun at the game!

This is our favorite Fall pastime-- FOOTBALL Friday's! We love it and Jayda has literally grown up going to sporting events with Michael and I. In fact her first word that she has learned to spell has been W-I-L-D-C-A-T-S as she sings the fight song =) LOL!! Here is my baby in her Wildcat gear...
















She loves watching the cheerleaders and knows a lot of the dances so far... as much as I DON'T want her to become one, I honestly do not see myself having a choice in the matter... LOL!

My baby is almost 3 =(

Where has the time gone? I just can't believe it. I get excited planning a birthday for her, but sad when I see her and see a little girl, not a baby. We went out the other afternoon to take some pictures for her birthday invite. These are the best we got-- nothing that great, but hey, they are of my baby and that is all that matters...=).

It's been a while!

It's been a looong time since I've last posted. I'm going to try to make an effort to keep up with this from now on (motivated by some friends). Tonight I will be back and post some pictures. The princess sure has grown since the last pictures I posted LOL! Anyway I have to get ready for a baby shower and a birthday party right after. Be back tonight!
